To our Sustainability community,

Weā€™re reaching out because we know that folks were impacted in different ways, and to different degrees, by the events of May 1 and since. Many are still hurting, even as the breakneck pace of Dartmouth requires us to move along with ā€œbusiness as usual.ā€ We see this hurt and are continuing to work both publicly and behind the scenes to try to repair what has occurred.

Radical Energy Efficiency, Integrative Design, and Applied Hope
A Talk by Amory Lovins, Cofounder, Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI)
Saturday, October 28 at 4:15 pm

Integrative design looks at a project as a system rather than a collection of parts. Whereas in a traditional building project, for example, separate teams might work in isolation to tackle different aspects of a building (walls, heating and cooling, etc.), the integrative design framework requires multidisciplinary teams to collaborate from the start to identify connections between the parts in order to achieve massive ā€” ā€œradicalā€ ā€” gains in efficiency.

A very un-susty message butā€¦.

I have 4 Noah Kahan lawn tickets for tomorrow night, in Saratoga Springs. 50$ each but I bet I can be talked into a deal. ( ESPECIALLY if 4 of you go in a hybrid or an ev!)

Any takers?

Moving out? Donā€™t send your things to the landfill ā€“ donate them instead!

Drop off your gently used items in the designated MiBox container next to the Cube from August 25 - 28. Items weā€™ll accept include: plastic storage units, mirrors, small electronics, kitchen utensils and implements, hangers, dorm dĆ©cor, lamps, and school supplies. Please note that any clothing should be taken to the donation bins at the Free Market Thrift Store in North Mass basement. Everything will be redistributed back to the Dartmouth community at our 23F Sustainable Moving Sale<https://www.sustainability.dartmouth.edu/sustainablemovingsale>!
