TLDR; BEQUESTS AND SENIOR SEND-OFFS, MONDAY 5/27 @7:00PM
Come one, come all, to the last Cabin and Trail meeting of the term.
But this isn’t just any meeting,,,
it’s the ~BEQUESTS~ meeting.
What’s a bequest you ask? Bequests are a silly, special tradition where graduating seniors bestow beloved items to underclassmen. Some of this items, which include everything from wacky flare to medieval weaponry, have lineages of CnT members whom the item has passed through, carrying their stories along with them. Other items, near and dear to a senior’s heart, are bequeathed anew to begin new lineages.
it is with the greatest sadness that we impart our seniors must make their own way now, taking with them our hearts. The Nakba refers to the mass displacement, dispossession, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians committed by the Israeli government between 1947 and 1949.
During the Nakba over 750,000 Palestinians (80% of Palestinians) were forcibly expelled from their homes and 531 Palestinian cities, towns, and villages were destroyed or depopulated. Many of the Palestinians in Gaza and Rafah today are descendants of those displaced, and the violence they now face is a continuation of the Nakba.
