QuickTime on the PC will not run mpg encoded movies. But MediaPlayer will play what is called raw mpg. And, QuickTime on the Mac will play (or import) raw mpg just as well. The amount of available memory may have an impact on the decoding, too - But I have never tested that. Otmar
