The center contains a fully digital, 44-station IBM-PC network with plans for expanding the facility in the near future. Responsibilities include: supervision and management of the Language Resource Center, overseeing and planning the center's expansion, supervision of student employees, assisting faculty in the use of instructional technologies, and developing and evaluating multimedia resources. The coordinator will also be expected to stay abreast of latest developments by attending workshops/conferences (IALL, CALICO, etc.) and by reading trade journals and Internet listservers. Salary range: $23,414.00 - $34,658.00. Qualifications: Advanced degree with emphasis in educational technology, foreign languages, or second language acquisition. Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS. At least one year of experience working with computer language labs, expertise in authoring programs for languages and/or grant writing experience preferred. Demonstrated interest in the field of educational technology.
