We do this very occasionally and find that it does a good job. This may offer a partial solution to the ghosting problem. And it's a lot cheaper than those pricey fluids! It stinks but is effective. The second tip is to try a different supplier of markers. There are several. We have good results with EXPO Dry Erase markers, as far as the writing goes. Some faculty complain of the fumes from the markers, however. The third suggestion is to get in the board supplier's face. If your boards aren't performing well, have them find a solution or offer replacement. Finally, you can do what I ended up doing in a classroom with a white board (when many many complaints came to my desk): put back the old chalkboard. You can improvise dustcovers for equipment if needed. It will help somewhat. good luck bruce
