Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical

Cost: $19 per ticket for students; $34 per ticket for adults

 

This Tony Award-winning musical follows the struggles of Matilda against her neglectful parents and cruel headmistress. An avid reader and brilliant young girl, Matilda dreams of a better life and a happy home. With the help of her kind teacher Miss Honey, the other students in her class, and a touch of magic, Matilda takes a stand against the evil forces in her life. The addictively raucous score propels this heartwarming story of empowerment.

French Club- Table Ronde

Location: Howe Library, Rotary Room, Hanover, NH

 

Cost: Free

 

Participants can meet and discuss topics of interest to them.  Are you passionate for Paris? A fervent Francophile? Parlez-vous français? Join local French teacher "Madame G" Gloria Finkelstein at Howe Library's French Club. Whether you’re a beginning speaker or fluent in the language, you’re welcome to join us to discuss current events, survival travel phrases and tips, and other topics of interest to club participants.  Anyone 8 and up is welcome to attend.

Join us in the Grange Theatre for this long running comedy featuring Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with cubism.

Learn How to Make Sushi

 

Date: Friday, November 16, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm  

 

Location: Co-Op Learning Center, 12 Centerra Parkway, Lebanon, NH

 

Cost: $45 per person

 

Join Co-op Food Educator Lindsay Smith at the Culinary Learning Center for a fun, hands-on class as we explore making sushi. You will be shown how to make the perfect sushi rice, how to customize your rolls with a variety of ingredients and even add some flare to your presentation. Each participant will make 4-5 rolls, including dessert roll, and take home your sushi mat and your left-over sushi. Come prepared to roll, create, laugh and eat. Grab your friends; this is a great group activity. Wine and beer will be served. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Montshire Unleashed

 

Date: Friday, November 16, 7:00 pm – 9:00pm (doors open at 6:30 pm)

 

Location: Montshire Museum of Science, One Montshire Road, Norwich, VT

 

Cost: Museum members: free; Non- Members: $10; Pre-Purchase: $8; Employees of Montshire Business Partnership member companies: $7 (Dartmouth college employees)

 

Create giant bubbles or get lost in our foam fountain. Challenge your brain with mind-boggling puzzles at the Solve It! exhibition. Release your inner scientist through guided experiments at the Science Discovery Lab. Or just kick back, relax, and enjoy the food, drinks, and music. Jasper Murdock Ale and wine from the Norwich Inn will be available for purchase, as well as food from the evening’s featured local vendor. This event is exclusively for adults 21 and over.

Location: Kilton Library, Community Room, 80 Main Street, West Lebanon, NH (Note: Park in the back parking lot and enter the Library through the rear entrance.  The Library is actually closed while we meet, so the rear entrance is only way in).
