For anyone interested in some possibly interesting turkey vulture photos, numbers of them are roosting on a bare hill to the east of the West Leb Price Chopper and Walmart. Twice in the past week, including during the drizzle today, I have seen many (38 one day and 27 the other) mostly standing at the very crest of the hill, exposed from head to toe. Today, there were 8 others in a bare tree on the same ridge line a bit further north. They look dark and hulky under overcast skies and seem to be waiting for Halloween. Better light near sunset might provide some good photo opps for those with long lenses.
