Ahoy birdpeoples-
Driving up route 5 from Norwich this afternoon I saw a group of maybe 20 or so mallards near the steel RR bridge in Pompy Flats, and among them was a white duck, and appeared to be the same size as the mallards so not a domestic bird gone wild. I couldn’t stop to take a closer look, which is just as well since I didn’t have my binocs with me. Has anyone else seen this bird and gotten a better I.D.?

It's not by chance that the dark center of human eye, the pupil, is actually an empty hole through which the world becomes known to us. Likewise, in a spiritual sense, the I is the empty center through which we see everything. It's revealing that such a threshold is called the pupil, for it is only when we are emptied of all noise and dreams of ego that we become truly teachable. -Mark Nepo
