As announced in previous OSP newsletters, Dartmouth has transitioned to a new funding opportunity database, InfoEd/SPIN. 

We no longer have a license with Pivot.

All Dartmouth College users must first establish a Profile.

o   Select Need to create a new profile

o   Select Dartmouth College as the Institution

o   Complete the Profile Request form

o   Save

o   An email with the Profile Request information will be reviewed and approved by a Dartmouth College OSP SPIN administrator.

o   New users will receive email notification that their Profile has been approved.  This email will have a link to set up a unique password for future use.

o   Once this process is complete, users will be able to sign in and access functionality such as saving searches and activating SMARTS (email) notifications for funding opportunities.

 

Returning Dartmouth College users may log in using the InfoEd Login Page.

• SPIN contains verified information, obtained while in communication with the sponsors, for over 40,000 distinct opportunities from both public and private organizations.

 

• Administrative staff have the ability to post search criteria and groups of opportunities on electronic bulletin boards for the rest of the institution to access and utilize.

 

• The platform is designed with both faculty and administrative staff in mind, providing both easy to use tools, as well as powerfully customizable query building tools to suit all needs.

 

• All searches can easily be adapted to include filters on eligibility criteria (applicant location, project type, citizenship, etc.) as well as inclusion or exclusion of US Federal programs and Limited Submission opportunities.
