We have a pair here in South Strafford that actually nested in a kestrel box my daughter built and put up in 2016.  We watched the baby branch just this past week .  It was very funny watching him/her trying to keep his balance!

They showed up Friday afternoon circling and calling. They returned mid-afternoon today and stayed about an hour; again circling and calling before perching atop dead trees.

This American Kestrel record is a home property first.
