Hello birders,
We have just two more Eastern-whip-poor-will routes up for adoption - one near Pawlet and the other s. of Brattleboro. Check out the map here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1PA6TRFDXrvuTznJU3M3HlAIHTtVOXON7&ll=43.10320570520881%2C-72.57388058984372&z=10

Interested in conducting a surveys in May and June? Because this project features a short list of birds that are relatively easy to learn to identify, just about anyone can help. Keen listening, a vehicle to travel between roadside survey points, and the willingness to survey after dark are needed.

Visit our participate page at <https://vtecostudies.org/projects/forests/eastern-whip-poor-will-conservation/participate/> for more information and to contact Sara Carline.

Can’t quite find the time but you are watching birds and you’ve even encountered an Eastern Whip-poor-will? You can still contribute extremely valuable data on bird abundance and distribution. Add your sightings of Whip-poor-wills and other birds to Vermont eBird <http://ebird.org/content/vt/>, a project of the Vermont Atlas of Life <http://val.vtecostudies.org/>.

Thanks!
Kent
