I teamed up with Wayne Scott and Anne Duncan Cooley this morning to bird
some spots in Orford and Haverhill. Some highlights included three American
Kestrels (pair copulating), 14 Green-winged Teal and two flyover Great Blue
Herons all at Tullando Farm. The teal were in a large flock of mixed
waterfowl in a big hayfield puddle down near the river. At the Jacobs Brook
Outlet we had an Eastern Phoebe and managed to get scope views of a
Peregrine Falcon on the Fairlee Palisades from Trinity Farm. At Bedell
Bridge State Park we found a Rusty Blackbird, two Turkey Vultures and a
Red-bellied Woodpecker. Wayne’s complete lists are in NH eBird.
