When: 5PM until probably maybe like 6PM
Why: Learn to build a fire (safely)! Complete a heeler requirement (safely)!
Level: 1! No previous fire-building experience necessary! Minimal walking required!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAYWhat: Mount Cube + the Fort!
When: 1;45pm-6pm FRIDAY
Why: Great 7 mile hike, beautiful views, start your Friday off right, eat at a diner afterwards!

Cost: 10 dollars DOC/12 dollars non DOC
Gear: You will need a daypack, 1 Nalgene bottle, athletic clothes, hiking shoes, hat and gloves, and microspikes (which leaders will borrow for you from Dartmouth Outdoor Rentals).

What: Ritchie Smith overnight and Mt. Pemigewasset hike
When: Friday 7 PM - Saturday 1 PM
Why: An overnight in a warm and very nice cabin followed by a beginner-friendly (3.6 miles), beautiful hike!

Cost: $4 DOC, $6 not-yet-DOC
Gear: [details to come when you sign up] sleeping bag, 2L water, non-cotton, long sleeved shirt, fleece (NOT sweatshirt), wind shell/raincoat, puffy warm jacket, long underwear/tights, wind/snow pants, 2 pairs of warm socks, small day pack to put everything in, warm gloves and hat.

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAYWhat: Mt. Eisenhower!
When: Saturday, 10 A.M. - 8 P.M.
Why: It's Week 2 and it's finally starting to feel like springtime! What better way is there to fill your Saturday with midterms still distant enough in the future? 9 miles, snowy hike (I know you're missing the piles of snow across campus).

Gear: Microspikes and Down Jackets (you can borrow both from the DOC)

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAYWhat: Holt's Ledge Hike
When: 10am-3pm
Why: This is an easy 4.4 mile roundtrip hike and a great introduction to hiking with with the DOC! Join us for fun, food, fantastic views, and more FUN!
Level: 1
Leader: Libby Decker and Heeler: Carter Boyd
Cost: $4 DOC, $6 non-DOC
Gear: 2 liters of water, hiking boots, warm socks, warm layers, snow/waterproof pants, warm hat, day pack. Microspikes and overboots will be provided!

When: 8am-5pm
Why: It's in the White Mountains! They're 4000-footers! 10 miles of hiking with a high payoff of amazing views and a sense of great accomplishment

Gear: Puffy jacket, hat, gloves, warm layers, hiking boots, 2L water, and microspikes (provided)

When: 9am-5pm SUNDAY
Why: Great approx 7 mile hike, moderate difficulty, solid views, trip to Ben and Jerry's Factory after! Happy spring!

Why: It's short (4.5 miles) , but steep! And winter hiking is fun because SNOW!
