ChrisIt was a nice surprise (and my first February encounter ever...) to see a lone Killdeer on exposed patches of the agricultural fields at Farrell Farm in Norwich this morning. This is a tricky site to bird, as the owner is not overly welcoming of strangers (apparently there have been problems with partying/vandalism over the years), so anyone wishing to visit should consider calling first or stopping to inquire upon arrival. I've always found him welcoming, once he knows who I am.At Kendall Station, red-wings and grackles seem to be established (3rd consecutive morning I've had them there), and a flock of 18 Canada Geese flew over.________________________
