as we engage in discussion about the culture of outdoor spaces with the River Warriors Society.
What is the River Warriors Society?
River Warriors Society is a multi-tribe Native American coalition of canoeists who recently canoed down the Missouri to the Dakota Access Pipeline Resistance Camps at Standing Rock. They made this journey in canoes that they carved. Since Standing Rock, they have been working to revive cultural practices around canoeing in indigenous communities in the United States. Join us in welcoming Warren and Gary, two members of River Warriors Society, for a day of activity and discussion.

Sunday, February 18th
1 - 3pm — Velvet Rocks Nature Walk (meet on the front steps of Robinson Hall)
4 - 5:30pm — Indigenous Roots of Canoeing Panel (NAD House)
5:30 - 6:30pm — Inclusivity & the Culture of Outdoor Spaces Dinner (NAD House)
7 - 9pm — No Man’s Land Film Festival (Spaulding)
