Hello, birders,

I’m a new subscriber and would call myself a casual birder. I’m enjoying the list a lot.

A few weeks ago, during the cold snap, our feeders - sunflower, niger, suet - were extremely busy all day long. Then we went away for 10 days and the feeders emptied. Now we are back, and I have refilled the feeders. But now there are almost no birds using them. How come? It’s not quite as cold, but still. Are the birds mad at us for letting the feeders run dry?
