Dear Colleagues,

(We apologize for crossposting)

We would like to invite you to take part in our session “Food and Drink in Archaeology" (session 568), which will be held at the forthcoming 24th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists in Barcelona (5-8 September 2018).

The key aim of our session is to discuss interdisciplinary bio-archaeological research into past Food and Drink practices.
Our session focuses on bringing together research on past food practices, comprising of production, storage, procurement, preparation, consumption and deposition. It aims to consolidate bio-archaeological food-related research in its most encompassing form, starting from archaeobotany and zooarchaeology, including sub-disciplines dealing with macro- and micro remains, stable isotopes, parasites, micro debris and more.

We encourage papers showcasing results that show promising findings for other specialists to incorporate into their own research projects.

We would be very happy if you could participate!
In the attached PDF file you will find the abstract and all the details of the session. Please feel free to forward this invitation to other researchers who might be interested in presenting.
The abstract deadline is February 15th 2018
You can find more information on the congress website at https://www.e-a-a.org/eaa2018
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

With kind regards,

Merit Hondelink
