Come join Janet Fisher for lunch

Currently I work at a biotech company in Leb, called Mascoma (link: http://www.mascoma.com/),
to develop yeast strains that are used to convert corn biomass into
ethanol for fuel. I am a research associate, meaning I work with my
project leader to develop paths toward our project goals, design and run
experiments independently, report my interpretations of my data, and
help shape future goals. I've been here since I graduated from the MBB
program at University of GA in 2014 (link for the program: https://biomanufacturing.uga.edu/).
I also have a B.S. in Biological sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo,
where I focused in cellular and molecular biology.

* OVIS sponsored event *

Good Morning!

OVIS has invited the ACLU of New Hampshire to present a “Know Your
Rights” session for interested students, faculty and staff. The session
will cover topics including encountering law enforcement, ICE visits,
family preparedness, and how the ACLU is supporting immigrant
communities.

The session will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 12pm to
1pm in Dartmouth Hall, Room 105. We hope that members of the Immigration
Working Group will attend, and that you will extend the invitation to
colleagues in your offices. OVIS will be posting information about the
session on our website and Facebook pages, and will send email
communications out to students and faculty.

Sincerely,
Susan Ellison and Lisa Adams

Sincerely,

* Student Publishing Fair *

Drop by the Student Publishing Fair on Thursday January 18th between
noon and 2:30, in the Berry Library Main Street South. The fair
provides a view of student publishing across campus past and present,
support for student editors, publishers and writers, and information
about tools like InDesign and the Dartmouth Digital Commons as a
publishing system. This is a great opportunity to hear from students
about why they engage in such time intensive and rewarding work. Enjoy
refreshments while conversing about publishing!
