Come for eat some free food and listen to Risk Presentations to find out!

DOC Risk Management Presentations

Monday, January 29th

8pm-9:30pm

in Collis 101

DOC Students will be presenting risk scenarios and case studies that are directly applicable to their subclub. Some of these scenarios are past incidents within the DOC, and others from outside sources! The hope of these presentations is to enhance a culture of safety throughout the DOC and raise awareness of potential risks across subclubs! It's always good to remember that things can go wrong, and, as DOC leaders, we need to be prepared for that!

Topics for the night include:

- Ski Racing Safety

- Recent DOC Kayaking Incident Case-Study

- Bouldering Safety

- Skiing safety in Tuckerman's Ravine Case-Study

- Handling Cold weather while Nordic Skiing

- Cabin and Trail on a DOC Franconia Ridge Case-Study

and many more!

These short presentations should give insight across subclubs of how different outdoor disciplines manage and react to risk as well as briefing DOC leaders of the current risk management practices employed by the club!

See you all there!

If you don't care about safety at all, at least come for the free food!
