The other day I heard an odd song/ call in the dooryard here in Thetford.

Couldn’t find it. Ah, so…..this am I found the very vocal and identifiable culprit.

In the bright sun……singing away…..

A CAWR. (that would be Carolina Wren)

Had one here all winter some 4 years ago…….be good for X-mas count.
