What: Beaver Brook Trail Work Trip! When: Saturday 9am - 5pm (not going to be back for the football game, but we will probably try to summit Moosilauke!) Why: Because we don't hike Beaver Brook trail enough, trail work is fun, and there's a shelter there we should resupply! What: Montpelier Contra Dance When: 5:00 pm - 12:00 am Why: Contra dancing is similar to square dancing and very common in New England. It's super beginner friendly and easy to learn! Plus, you get to come on an adventure to Montpelier, VT, check out some fall foliage along the way, and enjoy awesome live music. Level : 0 Leaders: Emma Rieb Cost: $0 DOC, $4 non-DOC. Franconia Ridge Trail eXtravaganza 8:15-6:30ish Why- Weighing in at 8.9 miles with peak foliage, two 5,000 foot peaks, Franconia Ridge is only the most classic, best hike in NH right above the legendary parking lot. Also, great people who will probably be singing camp songs! Level- 4

What: Abraham and Ellen hike When: Sunday 8 AM - 7 PM Why: A strenuous hike of two beautiful 4000-footers in Vermont. Big mountains, long views, and hopefully fall foliage. What: Nunnemacher Cabin Overnight!!! When: 9:30 Tuesday, October 10-Wednesday, October 11, back on campus in time for 9Ls Why: Because it's a great, low-commitment opportunity to get off campus for a bit in the midst of midterms and there will be good food and good company and good times to be had by all!! To sign up for any trip, use the signups link or blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you would like to pay in cash. Please also send any dietary restrictions and any gear you want to borrow (for free) for the trip. Your spot will be reserved once you pay.  If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot. Financial aid is available for DOC members if the trip costs more than $10. If you are not a DOC member, you can become one by visiting Robinson Hall 119!
