Dear DOC,

Hello! My name is Meghan Hassett, and I'm a recent Dartmouth alum. I've been working with Impact, as an Environment Massachusetts organizer working on clean energy campaigns. I'm reaching out because I'm coming back to campus at the end of the month organizing an event on campus with the Sustainability office and raising visibility about our work for social change and our opportunities. Can you forward the below message to DOC?

Best,

Meghan

Meghan Hassett, Dartmouth '15 and current Impact organizer, will be on campus from Oct 24-27 for a few environmental and social change events and meeting with students interested in social change organizing opportunities.

Talk to Meghan about nonprofit and political work at the Center for Service's Breaking the Mold events on Oct. 26th & 27th, and learn about renewable energy work in New England at "Big Green for 100%" on 10/25 at 6PM in Rocky 2.

Big Green for 100%:

Leadership for a Clean Energy Future

Wednesday, October 25th @ 6PM in Rocky 2

With federal inaction on climate and recent disasters, it’s more important than ever to shift toward 100% renewable energy as quickly as possible. Hanover is the first town in New Hampshire to commit to 100% clean energy. What more can we do in New England? How can Dartmouth lead on climate action and renewable technology?

Panelists:

Rosalie Kerr, Sustainability Director at Dartmouth College

Allyson Samuell, Sierra Club Upper Valley Ready for 100

Meghan Hassett '15, Environment Massachusetts

Sustainable Hanover Committee

Meghan will also be holding informational interviews throughout the week. To interview with her, you can apply online here. Feel free to reach out directly and ask any questions at meghan.hassett@publicinterestnetwork.org, or to Impact Organizer Casey Cousineau '17 at casey.cousineau@publicinterestnetwork.org.

If you can see yourself next year organizing to make a difference for our health and environment, apply to join the Impact team. With Impact, you make a difference now. The work you do builds the power we need to win more victories and you gain the experience that PIRG, Environment America and other groups look for when hiring new advocates and campaign directors.
