Hi Fiona, I hope this note finds you well!
Clarion is currently accepting applications from advanced degree candidates (i.e., MA or PhD completed by April, 2018) for the Senior Associate position. Would it be possible to forward / otherwise make available the description below to advanced degree candidates at Dartmouth? Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Best Regards, Katherine Clarion Logo Early Deadline for Advanced Degree Candidates Approaching August 14, 2017 Senior Associate, Life Sciences Strategy Consulting Boston, MA Clarion Healthcare, LLC, a life sciences strategy consulting firm in downtown Boston, is seeking intellectually curious, highly analytical, team-oriented individuals eager to roll up their sleeves and help pharmaceutical / biotech clients address their most important strategic and organizational challenges. As a Senior Associate at Clarion you will gain deep experience in -- and broad exposure to -- the dynamic biopharmaceutical industry. Working with a team of seasoned professionals you will help shape decisions of senior executives. Recent projects include: · Developing a novel, industry-leading commercialization model for a development stage biotech client preparing to launch its first oncology product; · Developing a rare disease profile to evaluate a biopharmaceutical client’s potential acquisition of a development-stage asset for disease treatment; · Supporting a top multinational pharmaceutical company in developing and implementing a groundbreaking, comprehensive patient support program for diabetes; · Assessing a potential acquisition in the healthcare space for a large-cap private equity firm by providing analysis of the target market, company, and investment potential. Clarion provides an exceptional opportunity for you to develop a broad base of in-depth commercial experience in a dynamic, collaborative, downtown office environment. ABOUT THE SENIOR ASSOCIATE OPPORTUNITY We care about performance and results more than titles, and we strive to keep hierarchy to a minimum. Based on experience and credentials, recent graduates enter the firm at one of two levels: Senior Associate: Recent graduates from advanced degree programs and college graduates with relevant work experience join Clarion as Senior Associates, and can expect differences in expectations, compensation, and career trajectory based on the individual’s academic and professional experience. Clarion Senior Associates gain exposure to a broad range of issues facing life science businesses in the rapidly changing biopharma industry. As a Senior Associate, you will develop and apply a solid set of skills that will help you contribute to our work in key areas and will serve you well throughout your career: Research & Analysis: Using primary and secondary sources, you will identify information critical to understanding our clients’ business problems. Whether the information relates to market trends, companies, competitors, or products, you’ll learn to use your analytical skills to prioritize key issues, generate hypotheses, test them and transform key learnings to practical implications. Creativity: Gain experience in approaches and processes that facilitate out-of-the-box thinking to craft actionable insights and thereby shape strategic direction for the clients. It is Clarion’s mission to support innovation in the life sciences among both our consultants and our clients. Communication: Learn the skills to engage with clients in order to affect change that leads to better performance and ultimately improved outcomes for patients. You will learn all these skills in a fun and intellectually stimulating environment with great colleagues. Each project is unique, but a case team typically consists of 3-6 Clarion members including a Managing Director and/or Principal, an experienced Consultant and/or Manager, and one or more Associates. Client interaction occurs at all levels and varies based on the project. Given the size of the firm, our entrepreneurial culture and relatively horizontal organizational structure, Associates / Senior Associates can expect to interact with Managing Directors frequently, benefitting from their seasoned judgment and experience.
