The Dartmouth Biomedical Libraries, the Feldberg Library, and Dartmouth GrantGPS are pleased to sponsor the Bioengineering Grant Writer's Retreat. The retreat will be held September 6 (8:00am- 5:15pm) and September 7 (9:00am- 5:00pm) at the Matthews-Fuller Health Sciences Library at DHMC. This retreat is intended for researchers in the process of writing an NIH grant application with a focus on engineering. It will include structured programming in a small-group setting along with protected time for participants to focus on writing their grant. It is expected that participants attend both days of the retreat. Participants will receive the following: * Seminars on successful proposal writing * Group feedback on Specific Aims * Individual feedback on proposal from a grant writing specialist * Peer feedback sessions * Protected writing time * Consultations on literature searching, NIH public access policy compliance, citation management Full program details can be found here: http://researchguides.dartmouth.edu/BioengineeringGrant/ Selected applicants will be required to submit a one-page draft of their Specific Aims section two weeks in advance of the retreat. The application period is now open. Participation is limited to ten people. Who Should Attend?: Anyone in the process of preparing an NIH grant with a focus on engineering.
