I went out seeking the northern shrike earlier reported by Jeff MacQueen, making a half dozen passes up and down NH Rt. 10. It was on the fourth of these that I spotted, at roadside, a barred owl sitting about ten feet off the ground in a small tree in front of Tullando Farm's red barn. No luck with the shrike.

Also seen was a flock of 30+/- robins feeding on berries in the tree line Jeff mentioned.
