Week 5 slump? go hiking!

To sign up for any trip, blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you would like to pay in cash. Please also send any dietary restrictions and any gear you want to borrow (for free) for the trip. Your spot will be reserved once you pay. If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot. Financial aid is available for DOC members if the trip costs more than $10. If you are not a DOC member, you can become one by visiting Robinson Hall 119 to sign up.

When: 7PM on Wednesday (walking train leaving from behind Robo at 6:45)
Where: The Rock (16 Sargent Street)
Why: Food! Fellowship! Freedom (from DDS food)!

Hancocks hike! (9.8 mi, somewhat strenuous)
7:30–6:00 Saturday!
Because 4000-footers (2!), great views, yay.

What: Montpelier Contra Dance
When: Saturday 6:45 PM – midnight
Why: Because contra dancing is a wonderfully fun, surprisingly aerobic, smiles guaranteed activity and you weren't going to do any work Saturday night anyway.

What: Hiking Cannon!
When: Sunday 8:30am-6pm
Why: The hike is moderate (~7 mi) with gorgeous views and amazing leaders :) The best way to spend your Sunday!

What: Mt. Cardigan Sunsike!!
When: 4-8pm
Why: It's a relaxing, easy hike to the top, we'll eat dinner and watch the sunset from the fire tower with a sea of trees around us, and hike back down in the dark! With flashlights, of course. (~3mi round trip.)
Leaders: Sophie d'Orchimont & Robert Wright.
Cost: $4 DOC, $7 Will-be-DOC-after-this-trip.
