This spring, the DOC is going to be putting on a major weekend to high
light,
celebrate, and showcase all
that the DOC has done, can do, and all that the DOC
brings to the Dartmouth community. Over the course of the weekend we will
bring together students, and alumni from around the world
to Dartmouth's campus to hear from and talk
with world
leaders in the fields
of outdoor education and outdoor business, as well
as some of the most prolific DOC members across the generations.
I
am looking for students who are interested in joining
a steering committee to make this happen. This is a huge opportunity for those
looking to get more involved
in the DOC and who are passionate about the importance of the outdoors in today's world.
This experience will
give students valuable
experience with the administrative skills
necessary to be an effective
leader or director in the DOC. No experience is necessary, and
20s as well
as all
upperclassmen are highly
encouraged to participate.
This committee will
help with:
-Identifying and outreaching to DOC Alumni
-Working with College
Offices and Departments to develop the event programming
-Coordinating with
leaders in the outdoor education, outdoor conservation,
and outdoor business field
-Organizing
student efforts to run the event
This position will
require a consistent time commitment, and ideally
students will
be available
during both the Winter and Spring terms (not mandatory).
YITOOD,
-Alex
Lochoff
