At about 1:00 p.m., I saw my first large flock of crows of the season, numbering perhaps 75 individuals. They were streaming across the Connecticut River from E. Thetford, VT into Lyme heading north to parts unknown.

Towards sunset, 150+/- Canada geese made their way, moving east to west toward, the Connecticut River. They were divided into six flocks of approximately 25. I had the same aggregated number, at the similar time of day, mid-week, but they were grouped into three large flocks of approximately 50 each. Wondering if tonight's were those same birds "commuting" rather than a new group of migrants moving through. Blake Allison
