Students just don’t come into our center for this type of work any more (they are doing it on their own), so we do not have this type of equipment.

Subject: Re: Headphones and goggles for carrel

We went without carrels for ten years, and despite several models of headsets (Plantrontics, Sony, Califone) we’re going back to carrels when new furniture arrives for our lab in December. We tried several room configurations, student positioning, etc., and we’re going back to the old standby. Dan.

Hi,

We’re redoing our center entirely in a new space.  We have a few apps where students listen, watch and sometimes speak out loud.  Instead of carrels for this, we are thinking of using sound-deadening headphones and simple VR goggles.  Has anyone experimented with this?  Any suggestions or comments?
