DCAL Faculty Fellows for
Faculty Conversations about Teaching and Learning
Call for Proposals

The Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL) invites proposals for Faculty Fellows who will work with DCAL staff to organize and lead two sessions per term about teaching and learning in higher education. In the past, Faculty Fellows have worked with DCAL to  host the Teaching Science Seminar and Teaching Language and Culture sessions. We hope to build on this model and convene compelling conversations that respond to faculty interests in teaching and learning. All Dartmouth faculty are invited to apply.

We welcome proposals for a range of discussion groups. Examples of themes for these groups might include discipline-specific topics, teaching pre- or post-tenure, interdisciplinary topics, and/or topics that address hot issues in higher education, such as assessment, diversity and inclusion in the classroom, and active learning.

Each fellow will serve a two-year term and receive an annual stipend. DCAL will provide administrative and logistical support and resources to bring in outside speakers, purchase books for group discussion, etc.

Please submit a one- to two-page description of the specific themes and/or kinds of activities you would like to organize, as well as a brief explanation of your interest in this role. Email them as a single .pdf document to [log in to unmask] by August 15, 2016.
