Has anyone guiding bird walks on public land encountered a requirement they get liability insurance? The VT League of Cities and Towns has told my organization that we need liability insurance not only for the July 2 Forest Festival, which makes sense, but possibly also for the guided bird walks and other topical hikes in Fairlee Town Forest July 3, which seems bizarre. Their letter mentions horseback rides as being subject to coverage but doesn't exclude walking hikes from the requirement, which is what we are clearly doing. Just curious...  --LF
