A Peregrine Falcon was perched atop the tall dead tree on the NH side of Wilder dam at 7:30 this morning, chowing down on what I'm guessing was a pigeon. He/she was still there when I passed by again at 8:30.
At the swamp north of Plainfield a group of nine baby Wood Ducks (I think) were paddling around in a tight little group with no mom in sight. Uh-oh. Hope they make it.
