This coming Friday at 7:00 a.m., the Mascoma Chapter of NH Audubon will host the first of four Friday bird walk outings to be held in May at Union Village Dam Park in Thetford.
Our principal focus will be the ":Mystery Trail" area that offers a diverse array of habitat types including wetland, riverine scrub, agricultural fields and mixed coniferous and hardwood forest. We'll be looking for early arriving spring migrants, especially warblers and insectivores.
Directions: Take VT Rt. 113 to Thetford Center. Across the street from E. C.Brown's Nursery you'll see a dirt road with a white house on its  right hand corner. Turn onto the road and follow it about 100 yards into the park. You'll find us at a parking area on the left.

The event is free and open to the public. Bring binoculars or a spotting scope as you prefer. The travel surface is unpaved and uneven in some areas. Due to the recent spell of rain, it may be damp/muddy as well.
The event will be led by Mascoma Chapter Steering Committee Chair Blake Allison.
Looking forward to you joining us.
