When I opened the garage doors to put out the feeders, I was greeted by a robin's melodious song. It was the home property's first singing robin of the season.
Robin activity definitely is increasing. Since last Friday, there have been significant flocks of robins in the fields near the NH Rt. 10 and Whipple Hill Rd. junction. On Friday there were 34. Monday's number was 32, and Wednesday day there was a mix of 24 robins and a dozen red-winged black birds.   Blake Allison
