Newly-arrived diving ducks this morning included 7 Ring-neckeds, a male Lesser Scaup and a female Common Goldeneye at Kilowatt South, and 2 male Buffleheads below Ledyard Bridge. There were also 3 adult Ring-billed Gulls at Kilowatt.

A singing American Robin and Song Sparrow at the mouth of the Ottauquechee River were treats for the ears, as was a noisy flock of 30 male Red-winged blacbirds.
