Adult seen flying west over N. Thetford Rd. near its junction with River Rd. The bird landed atop a tall locust on the river embankment where it stayed for about 20 minutes. It then departed heading down river over to the VT side disappearing into a stand of tall white pines.
 
The recent run of near sub-zero to mid-teens weather has caused the Connecticut to freeze over.
