The bird was seen on the home property about 3:00 p.m.  It flew out of a dead pine that is about fifty yards from the house on the far side of a field. It flapped vigorously a few times and proceeded to glide away from the house in a southerly direction.

Might swell have been the same bird I saw earlier in the day. That sighting occurred about a mile from the home property.
