I birded a bunch of spots this morning from Orford to Haverhill. Highlights
included a female Northern Harrier (getting late?) hunting low over the
Trinity Farm in Orford. Second time I've seen this bird here this week. Six
Savannah Sparrows were present at the Tullando Farm. Up at Bedell Bridge I
found a single Rusty Blackbird, an adult Bald Eagle and a small flock of
Snow Buntings in one of the cut cornfields. I was very surprised to not
find a single waterfowl species here. There were also very few sparrows,
but tons of American Robins and Mourning Doves. At almost all spots visited
I had Pine Siskins and American Tree Sparrows.
