Subject: RE: #10431 iSpraak- Speech Recognition for Student Pronunciation

Dear Dan,
This is a very impressive tool you are offering here, I certainly envy your technical skills! Would it be possible to add the functionality of listening –even temporarily – to the students’ recording in order to calibrate the grading when necessary? I understand the point for teachers to avoid having to listen to numerous students, but at least the students themselves might want to listen before submitting – similar to nanogong, vocaroo or wimba with the added valuable bonus of voice recognition for the transcription of the recording.
I have just proposed it to our language departments and will see what they say about fitting this in their respective curricula. I will share their feedback with you.
All the best!

Regards

Edith Paillat
