Workshops This Week

Tuesday, 10/27 4pm-530pm Ben Silberfarb • Digital Cinematography

We’ll look at – compare and contrast – the shooting techniques and styles of Ben’s two latest short films, Quintown, and To Build a Fire. Ben will bring in his MoVI camera stabilizer system, which was used extensively in one of the films. Don't miss this opportunity to meet Ben to discuss and ask any questions about shooting techniques and aesthetics involved in filmmaking.

Ben’s love of film began when he frequented showings of independent films with his parents. His interest developed at Dartmouth (class of 1990) where he studied under screenwriters John Michael Hayes (Rear Window, To Catch a Thief, etc) and Bill Phillips. He holds a Masters from Yale University and produced the feature film Brief Reunion. Ben has written, produced and directed many short films, documentaries and commercials for web, television and international distribution. He is the Managing Director of Kagami Films, currently in pre-production for its second feature film. University and Dartmouth College
