I am writing to share some exciting and wonderful news: An announcement was just made today about an extraordinarily generous $5 million challenge gift for the Ravine Lodge project from longtime Moosilauke friend and supporter Skip Battle ’66 and his family. Thanks very much to all of you who have been in touch with questions, suggestions, opinions and support for the project. All of that information has been shared with the steering committee, and the architects have been taking feedback into account as they have been working on completing and refining the design. The College will continue to post information about the project at http://www.dartmouth.edu/~opdc/projects/moosilauke_ravine_lodge.html, where there is also a link to an email address for sending comments.
In the meantime, I’d like to invite you to an update about the Lodge project on Tuesday, October 27 at 5:00 in 101 Collis. We’ll be describing the design project to date, which is close to
completion, and the Maclay architects will be there to discuss the plans and get feedback on the details of design that are still in process. A copy of the design, some renderings of what the new Lodge would look like, and answers to FAQs are posted in the
lobby of Robinson, just to the right of the model of the current Lodge.
