Want to learn how to actually treat CARDIAC EMERGENCIES? This training at DHMC is open to
ALL STUDENTS
Wednesday, September 30th
7:00 - 9:00 PM
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Simulation Lab
We will be working with the ED residents and other faculty learning how to treat common, life-threatening cardiac emergencies including MI and dysrhythmias.
It will be mostly hands on learning how to take a 12 lead ECG, use the monitors found in DHMC, electrically pace, defibrillate, synchronized cardiovert, how to give all of the important cardiac drugs, and much more. There will also be scenarios where
you get to evaluate simulated patients, make decisions, and practice using skills.
Stay tuned...in October we will be talking about emergency airway management, learning how to intubate, RSI, and perform invasive skills like cricothyrotomy.
