At UCLA, our departments have built placement exams in Moodle. My team provides the Moodle support, and they provide the content (which a specialist in Applied Linguistics helped them design). Moodle has a lot of features to allow user registration, adaptive testing, collecting statistics, etc., but you have to understand the system really well. We’ve been using it for a while, and we’ve still had a bumpy journey.

Sincerely,

John A. Lynch, Ph.D.
