Hi all,

Some clarification may be necessary regarding grant opportunity in RFP #10358. TalkAbroad, who is offering the grant, provides access to native speakers and allows programs to integrate 1-on-1 interaction with native speakers into the required curriculum in a safe and scalabe way. Feel free to contact me for specific information.

We are looking to promote research on how interacting with native speakers impacts second language acquisition, student motivation, enrollment numbers, etc. The grants provide free access to native speakers through collaboration with TalkAbroad and cash reimbursement for expenses incurred such as fees for the OPI, labor costs, travel, and other tools needed in the course of the research. Grants will not be given to compare the quality of vendor offerings as that is outside the scope of the current project.

Please let me know if there are any questions!
Todd
