Birded w/ Jeff McQueen at the Bradford Depot this am.

Drizzle but fun.  Highlights:

2 RuBl   both adult males, Rusty Blackbirds

2 Palm Warblers

1 Ruby-cr. Kinglet

~100 Tree Swallows

1 Barn Swallow

4 Wilson’s Snipe

1 DcCormorant

Misc. ducks

At the north end of Lake Morey there is a ribbon of water. Standing on the ice was an adult Bonaparte’s Gull.

Pretty cool….walking around w/ its pink legs. Spread its wings revealing the black tipped wings. Trophy head, all black. Then it hopped into the water -they seem to float, differently than other birds.

                Busy bird.

Some common and hooded Mergs on the bit of lake ice.  Should be soon for “ice out”.

Jeff was off to find the LeConte’s Sparrow.
