Hey everyone,

I had a pretty nice assortment of waterfowl late this afternoon along the Mink Brook wetland trail. A majority of the ducks were seen from the section of the trail overlooking the Connecticut River; lots of ducks foraging around the exposed mudflats there. Not much in terms of songbirds this afternoon though. Other birds of note included Ring-billed Gull, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Fox Sparrow (the latter 3 from Quinn Trail). Below are the waterfowl from this afternoon:
Canada Goose- 6
Wood Duck- 14
American Wigeon- 2
American Black Duck- 11
Mallard- 38
Green-winged Teal- 12
Ring-necked Duck- 4
Common Goldeneye- 4
Hooded Merganser- 26
Common Merganser- 8

Cheers,
