Hi Marianne and everyone else,

I saw a kestrel myself this morning at the junction of routes 132 and 5 in Norwich (Pompy Flats).  And yes, they pump or bob their tails when perched from what I understand.  The one I saw this morning was flying then perched on a fence post and did just that.

Subject: [UVB] Kestrel?

This morning in my back yard I do believe I saw, for the first time, a kestrel.  Is a Kestrel the one that flicks its tail while perching?  Too late with my binoculars to get a good look.
