The RL Hawk was still at Stevens Rd Yestreday evening at about 5:30! Hope it will stay longer because all I got to see of it was a low hover and drop to the ground behind the pine tree! That WAS exciting, but would like a chance to see details! Must have been successful in hunt because it didn't come up again in next 5 min. I assume its getting a steady supply of mice dining at the farm.. Hope the farmer isn't using any rodenticide! a Sent from my iPhone On Apr 1, 2015, at 11:02 PM, Chris Rimmer <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > The Rough-legged Hawk was still present at the bottom of Stevens Road in Norwich this morning. At Kendall Station were a Great Blue Heron, 4 Song Sparrows (1 singing), 35 Common Grackles, 30 Red-winged Blackbirds, and 6 Brown-headed Cowbirds. I was surprised to see 2 females with 4 male cowbirds - all the grackles and red-wings were male. > > Chris > > -- > Chris Rimmer > Vermont Center for Ecostudies > P.O.
