Someone might consider approaching Home Depot management about constructing nest boxes for the Tree Swallows and installing the boxes on the Home Depot property. Home Depot has sometimes done public service acts of kindness. I spoke to a store associate who built a structure for a girl in a wheel chair that turned her chair into an ice cream truck for Halloween. I like that vision, ding ding. Michael.

Subject: [UVB] Tree Swallows, West Leb, a few others

I birded for a couple hours after work today and had a few good birds. I had about a half a dozen Tree Swallows over the river behind Golf and Ski in the area of "Johnson's Island".  A walk along the western edge of the airport provided a Fox Sparrow and an Eastern Phoebe, but not the Wilson's Snipe I had there earlier this week. Back in Orford there was an American Kestrel and a single Ring-billed Gull in the cornfield just north of Reed's Marsh.
