As of 11:30 AM today, the Horned Grebe was still at Kendall Station Norwich
today. Also there was a Great Blue Heron ,seemingly watching the Grebe.
Also watching the Grebe, unfortunately, were 3 large cats. They ventured to
the edge of the ice, but did not plunge in to get the Grebe. Hopefully, the
Grebe was/is aware of it's peril. I doubt the cats could get to it without
going in the water. but it was disturbing to see.
We have Redpolls at home (Tigertown Rd. Norwich) today after several weeks
absence. Also Pine Siskins, Evening Grosbeaks (regulars), and the usual
yard birds.

There is also an ongoing Redtail hawk looking over the cornfield on Farrell
Farm Rd. Rt. 5 Norwich.

Many Robins, Grackles, Redwings along the way.
